With all the March Madness (Illinois all the way!), recording and getting sick, I been slackin in my NBA trash talk journal. But low and behold I'm back, post trade deadline, to run my mouth and hurt some feelings. These are my thoughts on some teams and trades that went down...and what's happened since.

NY KNICKS
Aaah, my hometown team. Already lookin like a steamin hot shit kebab pre-trade deadline, what does Isiah Thomas decide to do? Create more salary nightmares by adding Malik Rose and Maurice Taylor. Taylor is OK, but Rose is eligible for his pension right about now. And I don't wanna hear about their recent run of good games. They played a schedule loaded with teams fit for the NBDL. Back to reality as The Sonics busted they ass the other night and my man Dwayne Wade tore their punk asses up with that amazing buzzer beater last night. Something tells me that had Marbury said nothing about his point guard status, none of this would've happened. Call it coincidence, but wherever he goes, trouble flows. Allan Houston? Don't get me started. You know he's my favorite pinyata of NBA trash talk. And I'm thrilled that MSG and Time Warner cable haven't reached a contract renegotiation to air Knicks games because now they give us NBA TV instead and I actually get to see NBA teams that are actually better than the Springfield Gardens HS Girls JV Team.

NJ NETS
They looked OK for a second, but the inevitible set in. I don't care if your team has Magic, Bird, Jordan, Shaq and Dr.J in their primes. You just can't win a championship with Brian Scalabrine on your team. It's impossible by the laws of physics.

PHILLY 76ERS
DAMN!!!!! I really wanted to root for them in the Atlantic because we all know Iverson deserves a ring and he's having arguably the best year of his career. But I just can't root for any team with Chris Webber donning their uniform. That trade hurt me, beacuse now I gotta root against my man Iverson. Webber is a joke. Soft as a chipwich on a bench in Central Park during a heatwave. I like everybody else on that team, but I just can't roll with CWebb. Fuck that, I'm rollin with Boston for the Atlantic.

BOSTON CELTICS
The only team that can make Antoine Walker play well. Marcus Banks, Al Jefferson and Tony Allen are the future and Ricky Davis is the 6th man of the year. That dude is gullified to the 50th power. I'm a NY native, but Boston got the Atlantic, bitch! This is my team right now.

CLEVELAND CAVS
In a slump like a muthafucka, but I'm confident they'll make it past the first round of the playoffs.

CHICAGO BULLS & THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS
Lookin good now. Along with The Sonics, probably the biggest surprises of the 04-05 season.

THE REST OF THE EAST
Does it really matter? It's a 95% chance that it's gonna be Miami vs. Detroit in the East Finals anyway.

DALLAS MAVS
Jason Terry is doin his thing. I always thought he had game when he was with Atlanta, but shit, he was with Atlanta. Devin Harris, Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels are doin they thing too. Dirk is a Big Bird lookin ass muthafucka, but that 7 foot crane don't miss from downtown! Michael Finley had a jheri curl back in
'91, so I gotta show him the utmost respect.

SEATTLE SONICS & PHOENIX SUNS
These muthafuckas both live and die by the 3 pointer. It won't help much against The Spurs, but these 2 teams are the most fun to watch in the whole NBA. Most teams in the West are this way, but I say the Suns will go furthest and face the Spurs.

And oh shit, did anybody see Baron Davis' behind the back dribble no-look pass shit? Damn! B Diddy is the truth and he and J Rich make the Warriors fun to watch, but they'll be golfing early every year til they get a beast in the post.

Well, that's bout it for now. I gotta finish up this Celph Titled collaboration album and some stuff for my man Casual, but after that I'm off to Rochdale Park to work on my jumper...cause if Keith Van Horn can still play in the NBA, I can too muthafucka!!!
