Being summer is here and the basketball season is on pause, I ain't got much to say. I'll speak briefly on the trades, but lets consider the summer as my vacation from hoop mania shit talking. Besides, I'm still recovering from that NBA Finals/Tim Duncan MVP nonsense and depressed that my knee injury is keepin me off the court. We still got that ign'ant shit for you though. Let's go...
OL SCHOOL CHICK OF THE MOMENT:
U know I been keepin it old school for the last few updates, it's only right. Don't get it fucked up, there's definitely some prime time dimes walkin round in 2005, but something about the women of the 70's, 80's & 90's. They just had it, and most of todays broads just don't. It ain't just looks, it's in the attitude too. All this low-carb dieting and too much time on the internet have taken away some of the looks and personality, respectively. So now we gonna go back to the early 90's and go with...
NIA LONG
Whew!!!! She technically ain't old school cause Nia is still bad! But when she was in Boyz N Tha Hood, it was on. Why she wasted her time on that burger Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr.) was beyond me, but I woulda waited 8 months to get that ass too! And in Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and Friday? Damn, she just had that short hair thing down right. With an 808 body! I'd give up an entire NBA season for 12 minutes with her. Nina, fuck that punk Tre, you need the Captain in your life. 917-9...fuck it, drop me an e-mail.
SONG OF THE MOMENT
"DRESS CODE" by WC & THE MAAD CIRCLE
Classic! From the dirty, stinkin ass Mar-Keys loop to the clever cut n paste chorus, this goes down as one of my favorite rap songs of all time. Chillin with my dog Jake One over the weekend, we threw this one in the system and went back to 1992. The beat is in my top 20 ever, and the rhymes are my life story since clubs never let me in with my headband and patent leather Adidas pro models on. WC wwas always dope, even with Low Profile and Westside Connection. Fuck all y'all haters. Shit, even Coolio comes off on this song (yeah, the slide slide slippety slide Coolio). The whole album this song is from is called Ain't A Damn Thing Changed. Ice Cube, Crazy Toones (totally underrated), Sir Jinx and that whole camp produced it. I dunno if it goes for high prices online, but if you see it, get it. Another blueprint followed by J-Zone when it comes to makin albums. All hail the MAAD Circle!
NBA NOISE
OK, the draft was pretty much a bust. The team that made out the best was the Charlotte Bobcats. That's cool, cause they needed it. They should be aight next season. Brevin Knight is underrated as a PG, dude is nice. They got Emeka down low and now some help in the form of Sean May and Raymond Felton. We'll see...Chris Paul is my dawg, but hopefully non-coachin ass Byron Scott don't soften up his game. That kid got potential in the league...To my people in Toronto, I feel for y'all. First Vince comes to life after he leaves y'all, then Rafer Alston (one of ya'll best players) can't get along with the coach and wants to leave, and now this. Y'all pass on Sean May and a bunch of other talents to draft Charlie Villanueva at #7?!?! Oh boy. Y'all bout to see how the Hawks felt the last few years...New York? Man, there's no hope for us. I guess I was wrong on "Bullshit City". We'll never turn it around. Q Rich is my man, but do we really need another shooter? We got like 12 of em now. Jerome James? C'mon. David Lee? C'mon. The only addition I like for the team is Lil Nate from Washington State. He's only 5'8, but homeboy will bang it on you. He's the real deal, he has no fear. He'll be the only reason I watch the Knicks this year. He's doin well in the summer games, so hopefully he gets some burn next year. I'm more excited for the NYC PSAL high school season than the Knicks. Seriously. That's sad. Oh well, there's always next year, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after...
