HOG DAY AFTERNOON
No more "getting close", "finishing touches" or "just about". J-Zone & Celph Titled's Bo$$ Hog Barbarian$ album is now 100% done, mixed and hogged out. Titled 'Every Hog Has It's Day', the album drops in March on the Hog$' own label, Mt. Kill-A-Ho/Hog Cabin Ent., and the first single will be "$teady $mobbin'" b/w "Celph Destruction", which drops in late January. Production for the album will be handled by J-Zone and Celph Titled, with one beat from Da Beatminerz. Special guests? None. Hogs don't need em, unless you include a lil crooning from Dick $tallion, the Pharrell of independent rap. Check audio of the album cut, "Hog Luv", at the top of this page. Stay tuned for more details.

BEHIND THE BEAT
J-Zone's old studio (Pimp Palace East...pre-Pro Tools) is now available for viewing via BEHIND THE BEAT, a new book showcasing a bunch of hip-hop producers' studios. Gotta give a shout to Raph who took those photos. He came to Zone's crib in a blizzard with 2 feet of snow on the Q113 bus to take the pics. Available at
turntablelab.com, but most online hip-hop sites should have it.
That's in 4 now. Don't forget to check the Hot Sauce page for new NBA shit talkin and random ign'ant nonsense. Should be up later today (12.1.05), but I got a lotta errands to run. Be patient, it's a one man show over here!

OLDER INFO, BUT STILL RELEVANT...
THE OFFICIAL J-ZONE/OLD MAID ENTERTAINMENT MYSPACE PAGE
After bitchin all year about the phony J-Zone myspace page, I finally took action and shut it down...and set up the official myspace page for J-Zone & Old Maid Entertainment. I know I had promised to never do one, but I guess that's the way things are headed. I know NOTHING about these things and I got a dialup connection, so I'm limited and the page is probably mad bootleg lookin! I barely know how to use it, so if it don't look all that fresh, don't trip. It will be improved and updated as soon as I can get to somebody's house that has knowledge of these things and a hi-speed connection. Here's the page link for all intertested.
myspace.com/jzoneoldmaidJ-ZONE IN SPIN MAGAZINE
Danger Mouse's "10 Albums That Changed My Life" includes J-Zone's hard to find second album, A Bottle Of Whup Ass. Zone is in good company with classic albums like X-Clan's To The East Blackwards and Isaac Hayes' Hot Buttered Soul, and even the punk ass overrated Beatles (let the hate mail begin). Big up to Danger Mouse for the mention...page 48, October 2005 issue.
J-ZONE/SMASH ROCK
Check for Casual's new "12, "Say That Then", produced by J-Zone. The album, Smash Rockwell, is in stores now as well and features one other J-Zone produced track ("Hierollers"). Both available on Hieroglyphics Imperium.

J-Zone has just made his offiicial sportswriter debut for Bobbito Garcia's BOUNCE Magazine. Check for Zone's article, "Off The Radar?", in the Fall 2005 issue. Not music related, but for all 3 of you that actually are diehard fans of both J-Zone and NYC public high school basketball (what up Pop Zone, DJ Primetime and Metro), you should find the article interesting.
