Ho pleeeze, hold these!!!!
ALBUM OF THE MONTH: EAZY DUZ IT by EAZY-E
OK, I know I usually pull out some super rare gangsta rap tape to profile, but for whatever reason when things get rough at the Old Maid Man$ion and the weather begins to change, I gravitate to Eazy. The Street side of this album is so dead wrong and genius, you just can't help but to pay respect here. "Nobody Move" is the funniest and most ignorant bank robbery song in rap history. "Still Talkin'" is what the Bo$$ Hog Barbarian$ fought to pay homage to for 50 minutes and "2 Hard Muthas" with MC Ren is the best combination since alcohol and easy women (no pun intended). Even the Radio side of the album is fonky! Gleeful misogyny, cartoonish violence, Eazy's distinguishable high pitched foul mouthed drawl and Dr. Dre in his beat prime, if you don't own this album, don't you ever speak to me (unless you
got some money). I always thought this album was WAAAAAYYY better than Straight Outta Compton (let the hate mail begin), but it gets overlooked in that regard.
Fuck it, at least I got to work with him (sort of) on "Rockaway & Crenshaw". Eazy, RIP.
OLD SCHOOL BROAD OF THE MONTH
SAMANTHA FOX
I picked up her "12 single "I Wanna Have Some Fun" last week in a cut out bin...and I reminisced about when I saw this broad in the fifth grade how I wanted to have some fun...in her drawers! Haha, shit, I wasn't even havin wet dreams yet! Lookin back she had a horrible haircut and dated 80's look, but that's the appeal! That was sexy in 1988, and Samantha was on! Full Force was lucky...Samantha, where ya at baby!?!
BASKETBALL RUN DOWN
Aight, I don't really follow the NCAA til March Madness, but I'll put my 2 cents in on what I've seen. After an excellent Sweet 16 and Elite 8 bracket (George Mason and Albany get big up for lastin so long), the Final 4 this past weekend blew fat donkey nuts. I was pullin for George Mason and LSU, and they got smacked!!! Not even close. I ain't even watchin the Championship game tonight, so don't ask what I think of Florida or UCLA. Florida just don't cut it and I can't fade UCLA since they had Jason Koppono. Somethin about that dude just don't ride at the Man$ion!
In terms of the NBA, I've been quiet becuase at this point, nothing means anything til it's playoff time. But I will say these things:
- The Dwayne Wade/ LebRon James matchup on April Fool's Day was one of the best games and the best superstar matchup I've seen all season. Period! Them 2 dudes are worth every bit of hype they get.
- After watching Kobe light up my Sonics last weekend, it's official. He maybe a Mr. Belvedere ass dude off the court, but he's the best baller in NBA, hands down!!!!
- The Nets are on a roll. Nenad Kristic is coming into his game. The Big 3 are delivering every night and Vince Carter has turned me back into a fan of his again. I think they'll give Miami problems if they match up in the playoffs.
The way they smacked Miami last night was proof!
- After a promising start, I thought Golden State would finally make this run. Guess not. Baron Davis and J Rich are still the most exciting backcourt in the league though.
- A message to Amare...STAY OUT THE YEAR!! That dude is too young and talented to blow his career tryin to get a ring this year. They ain't gonna stop San Antonio and Dallas, so next year is a better bet.
- Steve Nash is the truth.
- Chris Paul is the rookie truth.
- Dallas may be in a slump, but don't sleep. They deep! San Antonio ain't automatic in the West.
- I like the Celtics and Philly is OK, but I hope Chicago makes a run for the 8 seed in the East. Them and the Bucks are the only teams I'll sit and watch an entire game for.
- And last and least, my hometown NY Knicks?...I refuse anymore space/acknowwledgement on this site at this point. See one of my 5 trillion Knick bashing tirades.
Later!!!!
