Being that the NBA is done til November, I should be pretty quiet this summer. I will be doing Apollo Creed workouts on Far Rockaway Beach instead. You may get a bleep on the radar from me on the Knicks' pick or Gilbert Arenas' heist of the century, but in the meantime here is a new article I wrote that has been posted on slamonline.com (SLAM Magazine's website) concerning the possible demise of the legendary Mt. Vernon High School basketball program (and all athletics amongst other activities) due to budget cuts. Anybody from New York knows how major this is and anybody with children can relate. It may not be one of my NBA trash talk escapades, but it's worth reading. Special thanks to the Mt. Vernon staff for their cooperation and Pete Rock for his input.
